Troupe takes its name from the concept of a group of creative individuals working together to produce a living work of art. Collaboration — within our studio, and with our clients, builders, and craftsmen — is fundamental to our practice.

We do not adhere to a certain style. We believe in the importance of context, history, provenance, environmental responsibility, memory, spontaneity — and a rigorous process of research, iteration and refinement.

We value good design across all scales. We are interested and invested in a range of projects across various typologies: renovation and new construction, multi-family and single family, cultural, hospitality and commercial, custom furniture and lighting.

Founded in 2026, Troupe is a full-service Architecture and Interiors firm. We love working with our clients and within the particular context of each project to build something specific, singular and beautiful.

Katherine Treppendahl, the principal of Troupe, was a founding partner of Trade Architects which practiced from 2021 to 2025.
